Tri-n-octylamine
Description
Trioctylamine (TOA) is a tertiary aliphatic amine composed of three octyl groups, valued for its high purity, hydrophobicity, and chemical stability. It is widely used in metal extraction and separation processes, particularly in solvent extraction systems.
TOA also finds application as a phase transfer catalyst, chemical intermediate, and processing aid in the production of surfactants, ion-exchange resins, and plastic additives. Its low water solubility and strong affinity for acids make it effective in selective separation and purification systems across various industries.
