Commonly utilized in the production of resins, alkyds, and polyester polymers, Succinic Anhydride also plays a role in the manufacture of corrosion inhibitors, plasticizers, dyes, surfactants, and pharmaceuticals. Its bifunctional nature allows it to act as a crosslinking or curing agent in epoxy systems and other thermoset formulations.
