Sebacic Acid
Description
Sebacic Acid is a naturally derived dicarboxylic acid. This white crystalline powder is widely valued as a versatile building block in the production of high-performance polymers, plasticizers, lubricants, and corrosion-resistant coatings.
Its long aliphatic carbon chain (C10) imparts flexibility, hydrophobicity, and thermal stability to materials, making it ideal for the synthesis of nylon-610, alkyd resins, and polyesters. Sebacic Acid also plays a critical role in the manufacture of biodegradable and medical-grade polymers used in pharmaceuticals and cosmetics.
