Description
Polyvinyl Alcohol (PVA) is a water-soluble synthetic polymer known for its excellent film-forming, emulsifying, and adhesive properties. It offers high tensile strength and flexibility, as well as resistance to grease, oil, and solvents. PVA is widely used in paper coatings, textile sizing, adhesives, ceramics, and packaging films. In battery technology, particularly in lithium-ion and solid-state batteries, PVA plays a critical role as a binder and separator coating due to its chemical stability and compatibility.
It is available in various molecular weights and degrees of hydrolysis, which influence solubility and performance characteristics in specific applications.
