About N-Methylol Acrylamide
N-Methylolacrylamide (NMA) is a reactive functional monomer used primarily as a self-crosslinking agent in polymer emulsions, thermosetting resins, textile binders, paper coatings, and adhesive systems. Neuchem supplies it as a 48% aqueous solution and as an LF (low formaldehyde) grade with reduced free formaldehyde content.
Its dual functionality, vinyl polymerization and methylol reactivity, improves wet strength, chemical resistance, adhesion, and durability in formulated systems. Widely used in water-based acrylic emulsions and industrial coatings. CAS Number: 924-42-5.
