Isononanoic Acid
Description
Isononanoic acid is a branched-chain saturated fatty acid known for its excellent stability and hydrophobic properties. It is widely used as a building block in the manufacture of plasticizers, lubricants, and corrosion inhibitors. Due to its branched structure, it imparts flexibility and improved cold flow in formulations.
It also serves as a precursor for synthetic esters used in coatings, adhesives, and metalworking fluids.
