About Ethylene Glycol
Ethylene Glycol (also known as monoethylene glycol or MEG) is a clear, colorless, odorless liquid diol with a low freezing point and a high boiling point. It is the base fluid in most engine coolants and antifreeze, and is widely used in heat transfer systems and aircraft deicing fluids.
Ethylene Glycol is also a key raw material for polyester fibers, PET resin, and unsaturated polyester resins, and is used as a solvent and humectant in paints, coatings, and inks. CAS Number: 107-21-1.
