Acrylamide
Description
Acrylamide is a white, odorless crystalline solid that is highly soluble in water and known for its ability to form water-soluble polymers. It serves as a key monomer in the production of polyacrylamide, which is widely used as a flocculant in water and wastewater treatment, enhancing the removal of suspended solids and improving clarity.
Acrylamide is also utilized in enhanced oil recovery, paper manufacturing, and mineral processing.
