APPLICATION
Precursor to other compounds of strontium; useful in reducing gum sensitivity and periodontal disease; odorless with a sharp, bitter taste; soluble in water and alcohol; source of strontium salts and used in pyrotechnics and electron tubes; gives a red flame color.
