APPLICATION
Used in photographic processing; hand warmers and heating pads; bleach; to lower chlorine in swimming pools; as a cyanide poisoning antidote; tanning of leather; pharmaceutical preparation; anti-fungal lotion; as pesticide, insecticide, and herbicide. Also used as a treatment of calciphylaxis in hemodialysis patients with End-Stage Renal Disease.
