Used as a feedstock for syntheses; used to manufacture polymers for the production of coatings, adhesives, elastomers, super absorbent polymers, flocculants, fibers, and plastics;  used in formulating paints and dispersions for paints, inks, and adhesives; used in making cleaning products, antioxidant agents, amphoteric surfactants; used in making aqueous resins and dispersions for textiles and papers; used to make Vitamin B1.
