APPLICATION
Used as a flavoring and preservative in food and beverages, especially soft drinks; buffering properties of citrates are used to control pH in household cleaners and pharmaceuticals; ability to chelate metals makes it useful in soaps and laundry detergents; used to prepare photographs; flavoring for vitamin C, and sour candies; effervescent property of bath tablets; used in skin masks and lotion.
